Dobrinka, Russia, the mother colony, was the first village in the area, founded on 29 June 1764 by 353 Lutherans from Germany. Dobrinka is located on the 'Bergseite" (hilly side) or west bank of the Volga River, south-southwest of Saratov. Maps in the Resources section will show you where this region is located.
